They used to refer Vedas and Upanishads and use our artistic creativity while making handcrafted Idols. The creative ideas emerged in the minds of craftsmen are then depicted on wax using hands. Using natural tools they make designs of the final product on the wax.

The wax model is then covered in four layers of clay and allowed to dry. This four layered mould is heated in a furnace to remove the wax, leaving cavity of the wax model. Melted Panchaloha metal is poured into the mould and it takes the shapes of the wax model. After cooling minimum of 6 hours, the outer mould is broken and then Panchaloha Idol is ready for final finishing work and polishing.

Kavvayi Backwaters

Kavvayi Backwaters  ......!

Kavvayi Backwaters located near Payyannur is the third largest backwater in Kerala and the largest one in north Kerala. The Kavvayi Kayal(Backwaters) is dotted with several small and large islands. Valiyaparamba island is the largest among them and stretches over 16 km2.

From an ecological point of view the backwater of Kavvayi and its surrounding region is considered to be of significance. The backwater and the wetlands are home to a variety of fauna and flora.

Locally called as Kavvayi Kayal or the backwater of Kavvayi, this lesser known backwater of northern Kerala is the result of the five rivers viz. River Kavvayi and its tributary streams Kankol, Vannathichal, Kuppithodu, and Kuniyan.

Kavvayi backwater is named after the Kavvayi island close to payyannur. Kavvayi used to be an inland port and a major administrative center during the past centuries. Now the importance of Kavvayi island has diminished but still there are several educational institutions in this small island as a remnant of its years pride and glory.

Another interesting sight that one could encounter while on the backwaters of Kavvayi are the nearly half a dozen of small and big islands. The backwater setting at Kavvayi is the biggest wetland in north Kerala with an area of roughly 37 sq km.
A boat ride ideally from Kotti-Kottappuram would enable a visitor to see and enjoy the many inspiring sights of Kavvayi Kayal.

Diabetes has become a common problem among the young and old, and still remains a very serious threat to health. Having a diabetic in your family would mean that you have to follow a lot of diabetes care guidelines to ensure that your loved one stays healthy and continues with the same quality of life as before. Following the right guidelines for diabetes care can mean that your loved one stands lower chances of suffering from heart problems, stroke, nerve damage, eye disease, and kidney failure and gum diseases.

I found this Video very useful to all our viewers and their loved ones. Mr. Sudhakaran the person who is giving this treatment is not charging anything for this medicine.
He believes if it is given for "Money" it wont be affective for patients. If promoted it will be a great relief for all...... !

This Plant is available @ Valiyapoyil , Kodakkad in Kasargod District . This place is near to PAYYANUR.
